Reminiscing about YTPs I watched as a kid

Everyone in this room likes YouTube Poops right? Those bizarre video remixes that dominated YouTube for a while, and still sorta do now? Those ones. They're awesome.

In/around 2015, my YouTube diet consisted almost entirely of video game reviewers, FNAF animations, and YouTube Poops. I just want to talk about YouTube Poops that I watched growing up today.

Carly Gets Molested In Detention

This isn't the first YTP I ever saw (I think The Sky had a Weegee was the first) but I remember seeing this one when I was very young (so, either 2013 or 2014). I didn't understand why Mr. Howard was flipping his shit over the Koran or who Allah or Chris Hansen were.

Caillou's Ebolaween Twentyfourteen

I used to play a lot of an online Flash game called Transformice when I was younger. But the only lasting memory I hold from that game was seeing this YTP in one of the game's "music rooms".

I think I was the only person in that room too.

Grandma Dies by a Reindeer

Trudermark was one of my favorite poopers growing up. I would watch every new YTP he posted until his retirement in 2019.

Then I found out he admitted to sexual coercion and grooming a minor on Facebook and that marked the end of my appreciation of him.

There's only one YTP from him I want to talk about because I still sort of remember where I was when it came out and because it's sort of burned itself into my mind. Grandma Dies by a Reindeer. I was in my bedroom. In my jammies. On my grimy $40 Best Buy Tablet that was perpetually overheating. Watching this YTP shortly after it went up. Ahhh, that was a good Christmas. I can't believe it's been... ten years!?

Even after all this time, whenever I think about Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer, scenes from that YTP come to mind, instead of scenes from the actual movie.

Jon becomes 12

For some reason, this particular JonTron YTP is the one I remember the most out of all JonTron YTPs I've seen. It's not particularly funny. Maybe I only remember this one because of the random ass songs and niche(?) references that were in this video.

It was because of this YTP that I was inspired to write this blog post because I forgot the title of it and I spent a considerable amount of time searching for it thinking it had been erased from the internet somehow. Not realizing that I had a download of it and that it's still on YouTube as a reupload.

Bee Thompson's body of work

I'm not sure if anyone remembers Bee Thompson/BlastingBees. They were a somewhat niche pooper that was active until 2018, after which they just sort of vanished. Their YouTube channel is empty, their Twitter doesn't exist anymore and their Steam account is set to private.

When they were still on YouTube, I was subscribed to their channel. And I think I saw and equally liked most of their YTPs, especially the ones they made of JonTron and that one FNAF Collab.

I hope Bee is doing well these days. Wherever they may be.
