Super Smash Bros. Kingdoms (June 2021~Early 2022?)

SSBK was a fanmade sequel(?) to SSBU's World of Light story mode, set five years after Galeem and Darkhon's death (and five months after Invasion). It was set in the "Smash Realm", a expansive world set at the center of the "Video Game Multiverse" that was divided into five major continents ruled over by four kingdoms; tropical Isla Roja, forested Alterberg, stormy Lyonesse, mountainous Kaminari and desolate Cyros. The world would be populated by Miis (originaly there were going to be original characters named "Otherlings", who were basically a human-like species, but then I realized that's stupid and promptly cut them.) and video game characters from all walks of life. I was very much inspired by CookieRun: Kingdom and Genshin Impact, which had just recently came out at the time.

Midair, the capital of Lyonesse, was where the three-month Smash Tourney would take place twice a year, every four years. There's not much information about any of the four kingdoms beyond their general climate and the fact that the royalty of said Kingdoms were original Mii characters.

The main characters were Captain Falcon, Kirby/Viewtiful Joe and Min Min. The story would've revolved around those three as they did cool Smash Bros shit and fought whatever horrible bad guys threatened their very existence.

Sadly, the details of the trio's misadventures are forever lost in the thick, hazy fog of my forboding mind palace, because I was too focused on worldbuilding to write down any meaningful story. I also did not have the artistic skills to properly put the big melodramatic anime fight scenes I was cooking in my mind onto paper.

Although I do remember a "scene" where Min Min is captured by the big bad and chained up somewhere only for her to then break free of said chains by turning both of her arms into dragon ARMS. It looked so cool in my ADHD teenager mind that I booted up FireAlpaca to draw it, only to give up during the sketching process.

Super Smash Bros. Kingdoms: Invasion/Age of Infestation/"Ranshin Arc"

Originaly, Invasion was made as a prequel to Kingdoms and it was called "Super Smash Bros. Kingdoms: Age of Infestation". (NOT inspired by Age of Extinction, I didn't know what a Transformers was at the time). There were supposed to be 10 chapters but only one or two were ever written. I eventualy made it "not canon" to SSBK.

An evil clone(?) of a certain ARMS Fighter, Ranshinmin has unleashed a hoard of soul-eating monsters called Ranshin onto the once peaceful Smash Realm. Everyone is violently extinguished except for a few characters, who must now travel across the desolate, infested land to stop the Ranshin invasion at the source. Frank West from Dead Rising and Viewtiful Joe are involved for some reason.

Super Smash Bros. Kingdoms: Soulsong (Tentative Title)

Would've taken 10 months after the events of Invasion (before that was made non-canon) and during the main events of Kingdoms (???). The story goes that "After a boating expedition leads to the discovery of three new uninhabited landmasses; our heroes discover a trio of strange artifacts."

That is literally all I wrote for whatever Soulsong was meant to be.

Failed attempts at revisiting SSBK

One revision from early 2022 features Mario as he has his soul stolen and dragged to Super Hell by a Shadow clone of his brother and everyone in the Smash Realm mourns his death.

There is also another revision from either 2022 or 2023 in which Spring Man is the main character and nearly dies in the first and only chapter. Yeah.

Orignal Mii characters

Ricardo - The King of Isla Roja and Commander of the Isla Roja Army. His favorite Fighter is Mario, they fought alongside each other a long time ago. He has a slight egg allergy, this information has no significance to the plot whatsoever.

Gunther - The King of Alterberg and Commander of the Alterberg Army. He is the oldest king of any of the four kingdoms, at 75. His favorite Fighter is Steve.

Arnold - Commander of the Lyonesse Army He was the first Mii to die during the Ranshin Invasion, as Lyonesse was where the Ranshin first struck. He died fighting. His favorite Fighter is Marth.

Vichai - Commander of the Kaminari Army He is the youngest king of any of the four kingdoms, at 31.

The 6 Primary types of Element

Element is a form of energy unique to the Video Game Multiverse, Element physically manifests in various different forms, such as a crystalline solid and as a viscous liquid. There are 6 types of Element,

  • Rouge is a form of Element that encompasses the power of Fire attacks & Explosives
  • Bleu is a form of Element that encompasses the power of Water & Ice attacks.
  • Vert is a form of Element that encompasses the power of Wood, Wind, Earth & Poison attacks.
  • Jaune is a form of Element that encompasses the power of Electricity and Thunder attacks.
  • Noir is a form of Element that encompasses the power of Darkness, & Metal.
  • Blanc is a form of Element that encompasses the power of Light and energy attacks.
  • Vide is a term for the absence of Element.
  • Acca is a term for the abundance of Element.
