Game of the Week: November 9th 2025

House M.D. (NDS, 2010)

Developer: Legacy Interactive Publisher: Legacy Interactive

This week, I played the DS port of the offical House M.D. game, released in winter 2010 in Europe and Australia. The game was also released in America but apparently only as DSiWare.

The game features 5 playable "Episodes". The first one, Globetrotting, which revolves around trying to figure out what's wrong with one Henry Richter, a famous TV host who has suddenly collapsed on the set of his show of the same name, is unlocked from the start. The core gameplay of this game, I believe is meant to emulate the average episode of House. Patient becomes ill, patient is sent to Princeton-Plainsboro, Gregory House and his crew attempt to figure out what's wrong with them, they diagnose him with Lupus or something... Oops! Turns out their original diagnosis was all wrong and it's revealed that the patient has some obscure disease and needs more mouse bites. If you've seen the show, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Gameplay

In this game, you will find yourself playing a cornocopia of mildly forgettable minigames interlaced with segments where you ask people various questions and cutscenes where Dr. House utterly destroys people with his biting zingers. I believe it's worth mentioning that one episode in this game is like ~20 minutes longer than the average House episode!

Imagine that. A whole hour of sorting germs, blood testing, breaking into the patient's house to find a bunch of hidden objects, stuff like that. You will also receive a grade from Cuddy or House for how well you did in certain minigames. You will also recive a grade at the end of an episode for how well you did overall.

I was unable to find any significant diffrences between this game and the PC version.

Final Verdict:

The House M.D. video game is nothing more than a collection of mini games that gets old fast, but fans of the TV show might find some joy in it. I know I did.

Bee Bee

I'd give it 2/5 Bees.
