UIP or Unexplained Internet Phenomena, a term commonly used to described strange phenomena that occurs online. A video that causes anyone who views it to suffer misfortune, an entire website transforming into a distorted version of itself, a pop-up ad predicting the viewer's death. The list of examples goes on and on.
But what many people don't know, or refuse to know, is that these UIPs are directly caused by "Spiritus".
Spiritus (I've seen other terms used but this is the most commmon) are the restless, Web-bound souls of those who have passed away, their digital form a reflection of the circumstances of their death.
Spiritus are often unpredictable and dangerous, there even have been some reports of Spiritus crossing over into reality and attacking people.
But not all Spiritus are deadly, and there is a way to befriend them. There are what are called “Spiritus Domains”, a website (or group of websites) transformed into what is basically a alternate dimension one can visit and controlled by one or more Spiritus. Ever try to go to a website, only for it to throw up a weird error or not load at all? It might've been turned into a Spiritus Domain.
You might be thinking "well how can I visit these domains" well I've collabrated with some of my fellow paranormal investigators to make a guide to:
TRAVELING TO SPIRITUS DOMAINS FOR DUMMIES (NO DRUGS REQUIRED!)
First, open up your favorite browser. Then type in the URL of a site that's currently down in the address bar then hit Enter. This will take you to an error page at first. To get past this, refresh the page a few times until you see a completly black page with nothing but a search bar and a "GO" button that does nothing when clicked.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, make sure you're fully prepared by going over this list:
- You must be mentally and physically prepared to enter a Spiritus Domain.
- You must have an object to entice the Spiritus with on your person.
- You must have a Plan B for when things go awry.
Failure to prepare yourself will result in certain death or permanent injury. I am NOT responsible for any damages to person or property that might arise from attempting this.
Once you're ready, start the traveling process by firmly pressing your hand against the screen. First, you will begin to feel the sensation of being pulled in. Then your vision will begin to blur and you will see many colors before it fades to black. You should then open your eyes to see that you're in the Spiritus' Domain. Do not panic. The feeling that you should not be in the area you're currently in is totally normal.
Remember to be respectful of the Domain, treat it as if it were a sacred shrine, because any perceived disrespect of the Domain will result in near instant death.
As for getting out of a Spiritus Domain... Normaly, the Spiritus just kicks you out back to reality. But if you need to escape, you can't just pinch yourself and wake up in your bed safe and sound. You have to track down the Domain's exit. Sometimes it's in plain sight, other times it'll be tucked away in some far corner of the Domain. Expect to be looking for the exit while also evading the Spiritus you've just angered for hours or even days.
People who have visted Spiritus Domains have reported getting strange phone calls and text messages from unknown numbers, possibly Spiritus trying to contact them... Those same people have also reported experiencing the sensation of being followed
