Hyun-woo Witwicky is just your average teenager going through their last few years of high school. For decades, the town of Harvey has supposedly been haunted by a cryptid known as the "Brookstone County Bugman". Many have claimed to see it, a tall, white mantis monster with something shiny covering its eyes, but have provided no solid evidence beyond a few drawings and blurry photos.

On a cold and snowy January night in 2008, Hyun-woo was biking home when he came across a strange-looking motorcycle that was in his way. Upon getting closer, the "motorcycle" revealed itself to be much more than meets the eye. transforming before his very eyes into a robotic-looking monster. It lunged at him with sharp claws and bared teeth, intending to leave no witnesses.

At the eleventh hour, another driverless vehicle came in. A Pontiac Solstice as white as the fresh snow on the ground. It too transformed, into a familiar-looking beast. The Bugman, it was real. With one fell swoop of its forearms, it silently dispatched the motorcreature.

By the time he pulled out his phone to take a photo, the two robots were gone, leaving no trace that they were ever there to begin with. He didn't know it at the time but the Bugman was Autobot Jazz and the motorcycle monster was a Decepticon drone.

And this would not be the last time they met.

The Transformers Survive humans. From left to right: Brendan O'Reilly, Andre Gialamas, Mikaela Haruki and Hyun-woo Witwicky.

TRANSFORMERS SURVIVE is a Bayverse-inspired AU I've been cooking since late 2024. It mostly centers around Hyun-woo Witwicky and his friends, Andre Gialamas, Mikaela Haruki and Brendan O'Reilly as they accidently stumble into the unending struggle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

Survive was originally going to just be a "reimagining" of the 2007 movie, but I changed so many details about the plot/setting/characters/lore/ect. that it's basically unrecognizable.
