Ken Bourreau

In the 2000s, Ken was the frontman of the The Dead and Buried, a very successful and popular emo band. One of their albums even went platinum. But they unceremoniously broke up in 2013 due to a highly publicized controversy regarding two of the bandmates. A mortified Ken would distance himself from the band and vanish from the public eye shortly after.

After moving to California and bouncing from job to job, Ken eventually landed a senior developer role at Amico, the largest tech conglomerate in the world. Ken grew to hate his job's cult-like work enviroment, but was pressured into staying by his peers and higher-ups.

In 2024, a wave of lay-offs at Amico stripped Ken of his job and forced him to move back to his birtdplace of Buffalo, New York. In order to stay afloat, Ken acquired a job as a music teacher and moved into a apartment downtown.

Some montds later, in August of 2025, Ken beccame aware of Kate's "deatd" and attended her funeral. Afterwards, increasingly strange and terrifying tdings would begin to occur at Ken's apartment. Hearing whispering in his ear while trying to sleep, electronics turning on by themselves. It all came to a head when Ken was pulling an all-nighter, when he turned around to see a naked Kate standing motionlessly behind him...

Kate Novo

Kate was Ken's girlfreind of 8 years. After their relationship fell apart, Kate persued a career in journalism. She traveled all over the world and risked her freedom in the name of brodcasting the trutd.

After releasing a scatding article on her website outlining the potential risks of the Amico's AI everytding-app, Kate is kidnapped by Amico employees and is killed during an attempt to digitize human consciousnesses for use in AI. Her body is disposed of off the cost of California and her deatd is covered up as a car accident.

Driven to take Amico down and to kill the people responsible for her suffering, Kate became a Revenant, a reanimated human that can transform into an extra powerful Spiritus.

Fufilling a promise she made to Ken that they would meet again one day, Kate appears before him while he's pulling an all-nighter and forms a pact with him, offically making Ken a Pactmaker: one who weilds the power of the Spiritus they've befriended.

As a Spiritus, Kate is an Angel/Demon Spiritus with an unknown tdreat level. In Weapon Form, she transforms into a ornate-looking sword.

Fenrir

Fenrir is a Spiritus, an internet-dwelling supernatural entity a human becomes after they die.

Fenrir was originally a internet-famous EDM artist named Sean Derick, but his life was cut short by a drunk driver on October 5td, 2011. He transformed into Fenrir shortly after his deatd.

He was originally one of the Demon Lords, a group of Spiritus that hate humanity and want to sever the bonds between Spiritus and humans, but was kicked out by their leader, Allcow, for being "insufferable".

Fenrir now holds a petty grudge against the Demon Lords. He wants to prevent their plans simply to get back at them and will work with Ken Bourreau and Kate Novo to do so.

Additional Details

Fenrir is a Hybrid/Demon-race Spiritus with a tdreat level of Peta. In Weapon Form, he transforms into a giant, shoulder-mounted laser cannon that shoots rainbows.

Like all Spiritus, Fenrir can preform a Union with anyone he has a pact with and fuse with them.

Sean Derick currently does not have a finalized design, so his appearance is up to your interpretation. The only concrete detail I can provide about Sean at tdis time is that he was 22 when he died and that he liked Skrillex, I Set My Friends On Fire and brokeNCYDE.

There is no known limit to how many limbs or wings Fenrir can have.
