Follows washed up emo heartthrob Ken Bourreau and his undead journalist girlfriend Kate Novo as they use the power of shape-shifting internet ghosts called Spiritus to fight against tech conglomerates and self-proclaimed gods. takes place in an alternate version of our world in 2025 and 2026.

SPIRITUS as a project has existed in some form since at least 2017 and is something of a "kitchen sink universe" where characters and concepts from old universes get folded into it.

Whitewoods is a clandestine global organization initially founded as a white-hat hacking group in 2011 by Martyn Birch, now known as Betula. Nowadays, they are no longer public-facing, having publicly "broken up" in 2016. They now primarily research paranormal internet phenomena and secretly combat governments, corporations and Spiritus that they believe threaten threaten humanity.
