Glossary

Domain: Virtual pocket dimensions thought to be created by the collective thoughts and dreams of mortal humans and Spiritus.

Spiritus: Digital/supernatural entities created when a human soul travels into the internet.

Core Spiritus: The Spiritus a Pactmaker has the strongest bond with.

Digitum: Term used to refer to any non-Spiritus entities on the internet. Digitums are not created when people die, instead being created through various means, some unknown to science.

Necromaster: A title reserved for elite Pactmakers. Ones that have made pacts with over 100 Spiritus, are able to effectivly utilize those Spiritus in battle and are skilled with using multiple Spiritus weapons at once.

Pactmaker: Any living human who has made a pact with at least one Spiritus.

Revenant: A rare kind of Spiritus created when one dies a tragic, needless death at the hands of another person or group of people. The intense emotions they feel in their final moments corrupts their Soul Core, causing them to become Revenant. Their abilities include shapeshifting, regeneration, invunrability, and being able to manifest on their own without being summoned by a Pactmaker. Some Revenant are able to form pacts with other Spiritus and become Pactmakers themselves.

Soul Core: The singular vital organ of a Spiritus. A glowing prism that holds their original human soul. If broken, the Spiritus dies. If corrupted with intense emotions, the Spiritus may become a Revenant or something else entirely.
