I kept seeing advertisements for a big in-game event happening before Animal Jam would close down their servers for good. This thing was hyped up to hell and back like it was going to be the event to end all events. I'm talking jaw-dropping animated commercials of animals epically slaying Phantoms set to Breathe Me by Sia.

But when the event actually happened, it was just a brief and underwhelming in-game cutscene of the Alphas sealing away the Phantoms in Jamaa Township, where everyone was congregated. Then the game servers shut down unceremoniously.

This happened in a dream and I still want to sue for false advertising.

Out of respect for the dead, Pixiv banned any and all depictions of deceased people, real or fictional. You couldn't draw "undead" people or ghosts too.

You'd be banned if you drew fanart of your favorite characters if they happened to be dead in-universe. It was crazy. I think half of all drawings ever posted to Pixiv were wiped following the ban.
